Sirin Still Lifes looking back to the 1880sMixed Earthenware and terracotta clays decorated with slips and oxides. Multiple firings including smoke firings. Burnished with wax. In the past some said only happy people could hear a Sirin, others said they lured people to their death and would ring bells and shoot cannons to scare the bird away. More recently shes had a makeover and now symbolises heavenly happiness and eternal joy. . Or so they say.
